Our attractions include guided tours of Chantry Island, the restored lighthouse and lighthouse keeper's cabin are a must see. A brief boat ride to the island gives you a wonderful lake view of Southampton. Once there you can climb the 105 steps of the original Imperial lighthouse to the top; it is a truly breath taking view of our local coastline.

There is something for everyone. A summertime band shell concert, outdoor flea markets, car show, antique show or visit the newly renovated Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre. You can take in an art class at the Southampton Art School; it offers classes in a variety of mediums and showcases work. Travel the area with the Shoreline Artist Tour and the Fish Art Tour, or check out Southampton Summer Music a week long band camp for ages 6-75; a horse drawn carriage ride through Historic Southampton; or try golfing at one of our first rate golf courses. There are trails for the biking and hiking enthusiasts.

If you enjoy the cold, hit the trails for snowmobiling, snow shoeing or cross country skiing in the winter months.

Our main street offers a variety of shops and restaurants seven days a week year round. Wander through the Southampton market you are sure to find a treasure there.

Southampton has a brand new medical clinic; our own hospital and the Chantry Senior Centre. We have a public school and the high school is a short bus ride away. Owen Sound which is only 30 minutes away has a Georgian College campus.
